Firefly Heather is a small colorful evergreen shrub with a dense low-mounding habit. The ascending scale-like foliage emerges bright yellow, matures to chartreuse and lime in summer, and turns bright orange to crimson red after frost. Dense one-sided raceme packed with rich purple bell shaped flowers bloom from late summer into fall. Best bloom in part sun and rich well-drained acidic soils. Tolerates poor soils and is drought resistant once established.
