Ostrich Fern

Ostrich Fern is a clump forming upright deciduous fern with large showy light green fronds that resemble ostrich plums. Best in part sun and moist well-drained soil.  The Ostrich Fern fiddleheads are edible.

*Deciduous ferns may still be dormant until late spring. This will appear that we've delivered a pot full of dirt however a healthy robust fern is awaiting inside.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Do not allow soil to dry out.  Generally intolerant of deep south heat and humidity.

LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Ponds and Streams, Foundation Plantings, and Hedges.

COMPANION PLANTS: Bleeding Heart, Coral Bells, Hosta
