Mountain Fire Pieris is a spreading evergreen shrubwith glossy deep green foliage that emerges fiery red. Profuse drooping clusters of dangling clear white bell-like flowers bloom on red flowering stems in spring. Best bloom in part sunwith slightly acidic and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:High Maintenance. Water regularly. Remove spent flowers immediately. Lace bug infections can be a serious problem. Watch for scale, mites, and nematodes. Dieback and leaf spots are occasional problems.
