Burning Love Japanese Leucothoe is a compact multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright-spreading habit. Its rich, glossy dark green foliage emerges bright red and turns deep burgundy in fall. Axillary clusters of fragrant urn-shaped white flowers bloom from mid-spring into early summer. Grows best in partial sun and rich, moist acidic well-drained soils. Leaves are highly toxic if ingested.
