Royal Purple Lilac is a deciduous shrub with an upright habit and rounded crown. Its medium green foliage turns purple in fall. Highly fragrant panicles of deep purple double flowers bloom heavily from early to mid spring. Best flowering with full sun and rich, moist well-drained neutral soils.
