Blazeaway Heather is a small evergreen shrub that has a dense low-mounding habit. The colorful ascending scale-like foliage emerges with salmon and bronze tones, matures to bright gold to orange, and turns blazing red after frost. Dense one-sided raceme packed with soft lavender bell shaped flowers bloom from mid summer into fall. Best bloom in part sun and rich well-drained acidic soils. Tolerates poor soils and is drought resistant once established.
