Winter Splash Wintergreens is a native woody evergreen groundcover with a dense low-spreading habit and glossy dark green foliage with white margins that are tinted pink in winter. Small bell-like white flowers bloom in early summer and give way to small edible berries that turn bright red as they ripen in fall. The berries can persist through winter. Both the leaves and berries have an aroma and taste like wintergreen. Prefers part sun and moist, well-drained acidic soils. Drought tolerant once established.
